Part 1: Product Overview
Coconut shell activated carbon is a black amorphous granular or powdered material refined from high-quality tropical coconut shells through a series of physical activation processes, including crushing, screening, carbonization, and high-temperature steam activation. Compared with coal-based and wood-based activated carbon, coconut shell activated carbon is known as the "premium product" among activated carbons due to its pure raw material, low ash content, and well-developed microporous structure.
Our coconut shell activated carbon is made of selected high-quality coconut shells from Southeast Asia, such as Indonesia and the Philippines. Advanced Slep activation furnaces or multi-tube furnaces are adopted for high-temperature activation, with strict control over activation temperature and time. This ensures the product features high mechanical strength, well-developed pore structure, large specific surface area, fast adsorption speed, high adsorption capacity, easy regeneration, and long service life.
Core Value of Coconut Shell Activated Carbon
Using natural renewable resources as raw materials, it turns coconut shell - a "waste" - into high-value-added adsorption materials. With its ultimate pore structure and pure quality, it safeguards human drinking water safety, food and pharmaceutical quality, and air cleanliness.
Part 2: Core Advantages & Characteristics

Well-developed microporous structure, excellent adsorption capacity
Dominated by micropores with a highly developed pore structure, the specific surface area can reach above 950–1200 m²/g. It has strong adsorption capacity for organic molecules, residual chlorine, heavy metals, etc.

Natural raw materials, high purity
Made from high-quality coconut shells, the ash content can be as low as ≤3%, much lower than coal-based activated carbon. With extremely low impurity content, it is especially suitable for high-demand fields such as drinking water, food, and pharmaceuticals.

Fast adsorption speed, high efficiency
Reasonable pore distribution enables fast adsorption, reaching adsorption equilibrium in a short time and improving treatment efficiency.

High mechanical strength, good wear resistance
Strength can reach ≥98%. It has excellent wear resistance, is not easy to break during repeated regeneration and use, and has a long service life.

Easy regeneration, economical and durable
After adsorption saturation, its adsorption performance can be restored through thermal regeneration. It can be reused, reducing long-term operating costs.

Complete specifications, strong adaptability
Various particle sizes are available: 4–8 mesh, 6–12 mesh, 8–16 mesh, 10–20 mesh, 12–40 mesh, 20–50 mesh, 30–60 mesh, 40–80 mesh, 80–150 mesh, 200 mesh, etc. Iodine adsorption value is adjustable from 700 mg/g to over 1600 mg/g.
